Dino Paulo is the Sole Survivor of Survivor South Africa: Return of the Outcasts. He previously competed on Survivor South Africa: Immunity Island.
In Immunity Island, Dino was frequently wrought with paranoia, though his streak of tribal Immunity Challenge wins allowed him to survive until the second tribe switch. On the third iteration of the Zamba tribe, Dino found himself in the minority against the original Vuna members, and was swiftly voted out for being a challenge threat.
Returning for a second chance in Return of the Outcasts, Dino was eager to redeem himself following his pre-merge exit in his original season. Well-respected by his tribemates, Dino executed several blindsides alongside his No B.S. Alliance, and played his way out of the minority on the new Yontau tribe. After the merge, Dino aligned closely with Marian de Vos on the basis of getting the strongest players to the Final Two. However, after winning the Final Immunity Challenge, he realized his best play was to bring Shane Hattingh to the Final Tribal Council. There, his strategic acumen helped him win the jury's respect, and the title of Sole Survivor.

Charming and likeable Dino Paulo's infectious, child-like enthusiasm belies a powerful tenacity. He has been in a relationship with his lawyer girlfriend – now fiancé – Kirsten for 11 years.
An escape game franchise co-owner, he was forced to pivot during lockdown like so many South Africans and successfully took the concept online. His work is a perfect match for his competitive nature, which has also made him the perfect team player in sports like football and rowing – while skydiving fuels his insatiable need for adrenaline.
From his previous Survivor experience, he has learnt to rely more on his game knowledge and instinct and to curb his paranoia. He feels that since he has nothing to lose, there's less pressure on him this time around – so he'll be playing with more freedom.[1]Survivor South Africa[]

- Dino is the first castaway to win Survivor South Africa as a returning player.
- By becoming the Sole Survivor of Survivor South Africa: Return of the Outcasts, Dino broke the Car Curse, which had previously stood for 22 years.
- Dino lost 14kg during his time on Return of the Outcasts.[2]
