Coco Connection is a recurring challenge that debuted in Survivor: One World and was used internationally in Survivor South Africa: Champions and Survivor New Zealand: Thailand.

Rules

Members of each tribe will take turns firing coconuts from a slingshot to break a wooden board on a much larger 5x5 grid. The first tribe to break a line of boards so that an entire row, column, or diagonal has been broken will win reward.

History

South Africa

In Champions, the tribes first swam out to a shipwreck and climbed onto the deck. They then threw coconuts down onto a raft under the shipwreck before paddling back to shore. Two tribe members then operated the catapult to fire the coconuts at a 3-by-3 grid. In a close race, Selatan broke their winning target before Utara, sending the latter back to Tribal Council.
