Clarence Jamil Black is a contestant from Survivor: Africa.
Being distrusted by his Boran tribemates after opening a can of beans for a sick Diane Ogden and eating part of it as well, Clarence became a target, but managed to escape elimination at the three Tribal Councils he attended pre-merge. After losing the first individual Immunity Challenge, however, he was voted out for being a physical threat.

Survivor[]
Clarence was initially placed on the Boran tribe. After Boran lost the first Immunity Challenge, Clarence earned the ire of his tribemates early on for stealing a can of beans to give to a sick Diane Ogden, later eating some of it as well. He was also accused off-camera by Ethan Zohn of taking several cherries when everyone else only had one. At the first Tribal Council, Clarence apologized for his actions, and although some still regarded him as being untrustworthy, the majority decided to vote Diane out.
Although Clarence managed to stay around long enough to make the merge, the beans scandal separated him from his original tribemates and left him out of the Boran Alliance with the eventual final four of Ethan, Kim Johnson, Lex van den Berghe, and Tom Buchanan. Because he was alienated from the alliance, Clarence had to focus on winning individual immunity in order to stay in the game. At the first Immunity Challenge after the merge, Teresa Cooper promised Clarence that she would not vote for him if he let her win immunity. An exhausted Clarence proposed to Teresa that they would play a rock-paper-scissors game to determine the winner of the challenge. Clarence lost, and removed himself from the challenge, allowing Teresa to win immunity after six hours. At the Moto Maji tribe's first Tribal Council, Teresa stuck to her word, but Clarence was voted out by the majority in a 8-2 vote.
