Representing the south of France, Carole was placed on the Ceva tribe. Placing second and first in the first reward challenge and the first immunity challenge respectively, the Ceva tribe had a very comfortable start to the game. However, even though the tribe finished second in the second reward challenge, Aubin Bligny and Carole were exposed as weak links in swimming challenges because its members had to adjust their strategy to accommodate them. After the Ceva tribe lost the second immunity challenge, some of Carole's tribemates admitted that they planned to vote against her at that night's Tribal Council, but that they feel sad about this since they appreciate her as a motherly figure. Annoyed by these confessions, Carole went looking for a Hidden Immunity Necklace. She ultimately failed to find one and then gathered her tribemates to angrily tell them that she came out to live her adventure and not to be a tribe's mother. She also fought with Alix Noblat, whom she accused of orchestrating the plan to eliminate her, and with Aubin, who she pointed out also needed to be carried in challenges because of his size. With Carole going so far as to take off her shirt and ask Alix if she would like to get physical, the rest of the Ceva tribe felt more assured in their decision to vote her out that night at Tribal Council.
