Each tribe will be trapped within a cage, which they will have to physically carry to a series of stations, where they will collect a number of items. Once the tribe has collected all their items, they will complete a final task.
History[]
United States[]
The challenge debuted in Survivor: Island of the Idols as the sixth Immunity Challenge, where each tribe would carry their cage to stations along an obstacle course to collect a total of five balls, which they will throw into five targets to complete the challenge. Lairo pulled off a victory against Vokai, sending their rivals to Tribal Council. During the challenge, Elaine Stott found a Vote Blocker advantage.
A variant of this challenge appeared as the fourth Immunity Challenge of Survivor 45 where the tribes started in the water, where they had to carry their cage onto the beach. There, one member had to dig themselves free from the cage and retrieve three balls, which they would toss to their tribe members still inside the cage, who in turn would land them in baskets. The new Lulu tribe easily pulled ahead and won immunity for the first time as a tribe. Second place was far more contested between Reba and Belo, but Austin Li Coon ultimately landed the last shot for the latter, sending Reba to their first Tribal Council.
Australia[]
In Australian Survivor: Brains v Brawn, the challenge appeared as the fourth tribal Immunity Challenge. The Brains and Brawn tribes would carry their cages to four stations, collecting two sandbags from a post at each station. Thereafter, the members would climb out of the cage and climb over a net obstacle. Then, one tribe member would release a rope from a series of posts before pulling a plank over a board frame to allow the tribe to run across the board to their next checkpoint. The tribes will then race to complete a word puzzle. Although Brawn used their brute strength to pave a sizeable lead, Benny Burdo's inability to work in sync with his tribemates caused them to fall behind. Meanwhile, the Brains' superior teamwork helped them to clinch a third consecutive Immunity Challenge victory.
