Good day!
Survivor Wiki is a growing community of Survivor fans who wanted to archive every bit of the show. As such, new users are coming, but the current admin panel would not want the growing number of users compromise content quality. As such, we need new Administrators to maintain the site and enforce the Manual of Style.
Certain abilities of admins include:
- Deletion of pages and uploaded files.
- Renaming files and articles
- Being able to "protect" articles from being edited nor renamed
- Blocking unscrupulous users and IP addresses from editing
- Reversion of edits
- Edit the MediaWiki namespace to make changes to the interface and design (Wikia.css/Wikia.js)
An admin is expected to routinely (at least twice a week):
- Check articles that may have vandalized/plagiarized parts or spam and revert them
- Delete pages if the consensus agreed an article is unneeded
- Protect pages with high traffic being edited
- Block discourteous or troll users/vandals
- Routinely check the forums page for spoilers
- Introduce fresh changes for the wiki (optional)
- Cite unsourced trivia entries (or delete if the entry is erroneous or speculative)
- Take initiative in putting up blurbs in articles
