Beverley Mansell was cast to appear on Survivor: Panama but withdrew prior to the marooning. She was to be part of South Island.
Less than 24 hours before filming began, Beverley dropped out over concerns for the wellbeing of her 6-year-old son, Grant. She would be replaced by a reserve, Drew Agger, who was switched to North Island and replaced by Bridget Griffiths on South Island.
