Now with his cancer in remission, "all is good" on the home front, but Betsy says the money would mean a lot to her family since her husband does not have health insurance.
After going through a wild time in her youth, this former hippie has now been clean and sober for 21 years. Betsy's overcome a number of obstacles in her life and is ready to tackle the next one, especially, now that she has become the person "she's always dreamed of being."

Survivor[]
Betsy began the game on the Foa Foa tribe. Russell Hantz approached Betsy for an alliance on Day 1; although skeptical, Betsy agreed to align with him. After Foa Foa lost the first Immunity Challenge on Day 3, the tribe was split between voting for Ashley Trainer and Marisa Calihan. Before Tribal Council, Betsy confided in Natalie White about her suspicion of Russell H., stating that her woman's intuition told her not to trust him. That night, Betsy voted for Ashley, but Marisa was voted out instead.
The following day, Betsy questioned Russell H. on why Marisa was voted out instead of Ashley, which made Russell H. grow wary of Betsy. Fellow tribemate Ben Browning rubbed Betsy the wrong way and the two soon had a fierce rivalry. When Foa Foa lost the second Immunity Challenge, Betsy was targeted for being untrustworthy. In return, Betsy targeted Ben for his harsh personality. At Tribal Council, Ben and Russell H. led a campaign against Betsy, which led to her being voted out in an unanimous vote over Ben.
