During the Immunity Challenge, Ross takes a hard fall during the rope swing section of the course when the rope broke, and the medics are immediately called. The medics decide to take him out of the challenge to further examine his injury, and the challenge resumes. Later in the day, Ross arrives back at the Contenders camp with host Jonathan LaPaglia to inform the rest of the tribe that the medics have advised that he be evacuated from the game due to a fractured ankle, and that Tribal Council would thus be cancelled.

Immunity Challenge: Pick Up The Pieces
Castaways will race across a series of stepping poles and swing across on a rope swing. Then one person will toss a pair monkey's fist into a pair of fork to make a set safety lines for a pair of hanging balance beams. Two members will then unscrew a crate of ladder rungs. The tribes will then use the ladder rungs to complete a ladder to the top of a tower. The first tribe to get all of their castaways to the top of the tower and light their fire wins.

“ | I'm absolutely devastated I have to go home 'cause I wanted to go all the way. I've done some of the most physically demanding things in life, like, I like to surf some of the biggest waves in the world, I survive these eighty-foot waves on my head. But this Survivor experience is another level, and I'm glad I've experienced it. I felt like a provider for our tribe, y'know- I kept the frickin' fire going for twenty-eight days! I didn't lie or cheat in the game, I was honourable. I've made lifelong friends. Y'know- I hope Lukey wins. He helped me, he educated me, and, um- I reckon we could've gone all the way together.
