This is the fourth episode of Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains.
Story[]
Day 8[]
At the Heroes camp, Gerry struggled to keep up around camp because of an injured foot, prompting the tribe to pick up some slack for him. This strengthened his connection with Sharni, because he reminded her of her grandfather at home. Meanwhile, without attending Tribal Council, no one really knew where people stood in relation to each other. Rogue emerged as a common enemy as she continued to be blunt and abrasive around camp. Nervous about the repetition of the Winner's Curse, Hayley told Flick about the information George had given her about an idol at camp, and the two went looking. Flick acknowledged the irony of working with Hayley, who had single-handedly voted her out in the previous season. She intended to work with Hayley for a while, but definitely not forever.
At the Reward Challenge where the tribes competed for pizza, the Heroes dominated the Villains. Rogue also played overly aggressive towards the Villains in a way that made them mad.
Back at camp, the Heroes opened their reward in dismay to find frozen pizza, which they decided not to try and cook. Despite Hayley searching around for an advantage, it was Sam who was able to find a clue to the idol in a pizza box. Later, Sam shared the idol clue with his alliance of David, Matt, and Shaun. Shaun held onto the clue for safe keeping.
Realizing her threat as a former winner, Hayley decided it was better to ride the tribe's hatred of Rogue now while the attention was on her. On the way to the Immunity Challenge, Hayley proposed the idea of trimming some fat off the Heroes tribe, and potentially throwing the challenge to vote off Rogue. Worried of Rogue's disloyalty at a potential swap, Shaun agreed but remained skeptical of Hayley based on her ability to make a good plan.
Day 9[]
At the Immunity Challenge, the tribes competed in an endurance challenge, Vampire Bats. Despite being comfortable throughout most of the challenge, Hayley followed through with her plan to throw the challenge and dropped out, sending the Heroes tribe to Tribal Council. With the majority of the tribe on board to vote off Rogue, Hayley feared an idol might be played on Rogue, ordering a vote split with Gerry as the secondary target. Shaun considered the idea of orchestrating a blindside of Hayley to earn himself a strong resume move. This idea looked even more attractive after Shaun found a Hidden Immunity Idol, which he considered playing on Rogue to get the former winner out of the game.
At Tribal Council, Rogue told her tribe she really did not think they were as heroic as she was, since she risks her life to save the planet. This accusation caused the entire tribe to tell Rogue they did not like the way she spoke to them, particularly Nina and Paige. Rogue then told the tribe that she wanted to be voted out. The tribe accepted Rogue's request, sending her home in a 7-4-1 split and breaking the winner's curse for Hayley.
| “ | Well, this might be a tribe of Heroes, but sometimes even a hero can go rogue. | ” |
