This is the season premiere of Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains.

Story

“	For seven incredible seasons, Australian Survivor has put its players to the ultimate test, through brutal challenges, and intense gameplay. Players discovered just how far they would go to claim the crown, and now from the Outback to the world's largest ocean, the game returns to where it all began: Samoa, a remote paradise, as beautiful as it is dangerous. Pounded by the Pacific, lashed by violent rains, and saturated by unrelenting humidity, the perfect setting for two Tribes, born from primal opposing forces. Pitting courage against cunning, the selfless against the selfish, and trust against treachery. This is Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains. The Heroes are led by some of the game's most honorable players; they will be joined by a new band of heroes: activists, sporting legends, and inspiring people who fight for what's right. Heroes play fair and value loyalty; they stand for the greater good; and Heroes always rise above adversity. But where there are heroes, there are always the villains, led by some of the game's most devious players. Villains play dirty, think strategically, blindside without hesitation, and the new villains are ready to cash in… This new breed of mischief-makers will use whatever skills necessary to make it one more day in the game — but there's one Villain who towers over them all. 	Hayley	“	Heroes v Villains is a battle of good versus evil, and good always wins. I'm a Survivor hero because, not only did I win Brains v Brawn, I took out one of the most notorious villains, King George, to take my crown. And I came back to where it all began in Samoa to make history: I want to be the first two-time winner of Australian Survivor.	”

	Rogue	“	I'm dedicated to animal welfare and animal conservation, putting my own personal well-being at risk. I've gone undercover in Africa for six years to find out why the lion in the wild is going extinct, dealing with people in big game hunting. Let's be clear, they're trophy hunting. I've always just had this extreme sense of right and wrong.	”

	Sam	“	Mateship, honesty, integrity — these are that I pride myself in my life, and that's how I played the game in season 1. Coming back in to the game back in Samoa, that's not gonna change.	”

	Nina	“	I'm a hero raised by a villain. Last season, I was my mom's shadow. But I'm here as a hero, and this is my season.	”

	Flick	“	I don't think anything can really prepare you for when you lose your mum, and you have to find out in front of everyone in Brains v Brawn. I knew I was strong because of what I do, as a professional big wave surfer, but I didn't think I'd be that strong to push through. My mum motivates me; she was my hero. And I'm back stronger than ever. I'm tougher, I'm more resilient, and I'm back to win.	”

	Jordie	“	Those Heroes, they're on their high horse, 'I'm better than you'. No, you're not; you're boring. Last year, I got nicknamed "The Joker": no matter how hard they were coming for me, I was able to last still; it felt like a superpower. But the Joker, his best trait is being able to make other people go mad. Villains are so much more fun!	”

	Shonee	“	I have blindsided; I've lied to people's faces; I've stolen their [...] at night. Honeys, I am home. I am the first person to play Australian Survivor three times, so suck on that, everyone who ever underestimated me. I am back because inflation is a bitch. My list of needs are growing, and the cost of living is getting higher. I need half a mill. I'm so excited that I'm in a tribe full of Villains — they're down to have fun; they're down to get naughty. These are my people; I wanna play with other selfish players.	”

	Fraser	“	Why am I a villain? I'm a real estate agent. Negotiating multi-million dollar sales? I don't sell properties; I sell people their dreams. I don't care if someone hates me; I'll make them love me. I'm a real estate machine.	”

	Anjali	“	People just believe when you speak Britishly — it's so funny! I am a television journalist. I was at Sky News doing breaking news; and an anchor at CNN, the biggest news network in the world. Twenty-five years I've had of thinking on my feet, being able to adapt to any scenario. I have interviewed some of the most powerful people in the world. […], and I want to be the biggest, baddest villain on Survivor. The conniving little you-know-what.	”

	George	“	Do I even need an introduction? I'm King George from Survivor: Brains V Brawn; I got to the Final Tribal Council, and I was robbed. I'm coming back to take back what's rightfully mine: my crown, that Hayley stole from me. Back town, in my kingdom in Bankstown, I've had a glow-up! I'm as strong as a Lebanese house wine! I'm not coming to Samoa for redemption; I'm coming back for salvation. On behalf of the Macedonian Jesus, I'm on a crusade to slay. This is the second coming of King George. Villains own the streets, and I'm gonna conquer the beaches… as George, the Terrible, the Tsar of Samoa. No one strikes harder than me.	”

	Gerry	“	Been on Fraser Island flying for 35 years. I've had all sorts of emergencies: saving people from drowning, saving people out of plane crashes, putting other people before myself.	”

	Sarah	“	Miss Greece claimed that I pushed her down the stairs — I didn't; but, if I did, she wouldn't have gotten up.	”

Day 1

The Heroes win their first challenge and reward.

	Anjali	“	I feel rubbish about the Heroes having a win. It was so predictable, it's like, 'Ugh, Heroes win, what a surprise!'. Normally, I go, 'Wow, this is gonna be the best holiday ever!'; but, in actual fact, I'm bricking it, going, 'Now what?!'. We have no food, no fire; we have a-nothing! Looking around at my tribemates going, 'Gosh!'. Motley-looking bunch!	”

Day 2

“	Well, I guess we just found out why you are called the Villains tribe.	”

Challenges

Challenge: TBA
The tribes are to collect as much supplies as they can in a race heading to a tower. While everyone is on the top of the tower, one tribe member would get down to bring a torch from the starting line back to the tower. The first person to light up the torch would win reward for their tribe.
Reward: Flint, as well as every item that the winning tribe brings to the top of the tower.
Winner: Heroes

Challenge: Hammer Time
The tribes are to race through a mud pit, smash their way into a stick tunnel, and then look for a sledgehammer in a pile of coconuts. With the sledgehammer, one member from each tribe would hammer rungs into a ladder, allowing two tribe members to climb onto a platform. Once atop the platform, they would throw small hammers to break ceramic tiles. First tribe to smash all five targets wins.

	Stevie	“	(voting against Anjali) So, um, I do enjoy your company, but it's so important that our tribe succeeds.	”

	Michael	“	(voting against Anjali) It's nothing personal; I'm just hungry, and we have to win challenges.	”

Final Words

	Anjali	“	I urged Jonathan to… 'Come on! Get on with it, man!'. If we are going to read the votes, then just read the votes because, when it comes down to it, it's all drama, isn't it? How boring would it be, 'Oh, no, we will just like leave those votes, what a fizzle!'? (blows a raspberry) I will always vote on the side of drama. If it's there to be had, we are having it, and that was the decision that I made. It would have driven me absolutely mad leaving the votes sitting there.	”
