Aurora McCreary is a contestant from Survivor: Edge of Extinction.
Known for her caustic and sarcastic personality, Aurora quickly found herself on the outs of the Kama tribe, being the only one willing to work with the returning players. She was able to reach the merge without attending Tribal Council, but after her only ally was blindsided, she became a target. Despite not having an alliance, Aurora was able to survive until the Final 6 due to winning Immunity Challenges, as well as several of the more threatening players being blindsided. However, she was voted out after Rick Devens won immunity, and was then permanently eliminated after losing the re-entry challenge the next day.

What is your personal claim to fame? Having my mom tell me she was proud of who I became before she died. We were polar opposites and did not get along, but in the end, she was proud of me.
Who or what is your inspiration in life? My brother Shane. We went into the foster care system after being taken away from our biological mother. Shane wouldn't leave my side and always protected me and made me feel normal. He made sure I wouldn't grow up with negative memories or scars and allowed me to become the person I am today.
If you could have three things on the island, what would they be and why?
Gum: I have an addiction and I don't just chew, I chomp!
Sunglasses: I cannot hide my facial reactions and roll my eyes constantly.
Earplugs: I'm an extroverted introvert so the fact that I am surrounded by people and can't get away is going to drive me crazy.
Which Survivor contestant are you the most like? Tyson for being a manipulative, mischievous prankster, Ciera for her attitude and foot in the mouth moments, and Michaela for her die-hard competitiveness.
What's your reason for being on Survivor? I love the show and have been obsessed with it since the beginning. I want to be in the depths of the conversations, manipulations, and absolute psychological warfare. Also, the competitions look like so much fun. Oh no, I have to stand in the middle of the blue ocean and prove I'm a badass—GAME ON!
Why do you think you'll "survive" Survivor? I will bring my analytical skills. I'm good at going into a situation knowing what I want, reading others, and finding out what drives them, manipulating the situation to make them think my goal is theirs. I have the ability to take the personal side out and bring forth the cutthroat side.[2]
Survivor
Starting Survivor: Edge of Extinction on the Kama tribe, Aurora was very impressed with returning player Joe Anglim's providing and ability to make fire without flint. However, Aurora soon found herself on the bottom of the tribe along with Joe and Aubry Bracco as she was the only one of the new players on her tribe willing to work with them, while the rest of the tribe had formed the Kama Six alliance against them. However, the trio was spared when Kama won the first three Immunity Challenges. Aurora remained on Kama along with Joe after the Tribe Switch on Day 9 where they tried to bring in Ron Clark to gain the majority, but were unaware the rest of the original Kama's still wanted to get Aubry and Joe out even after the swap. Luckily, Joe's prowess in challenges helped Kama finish first in all of the challenges after the swap, abstaining from Tribal Council until the merge.
Aurora made the merge with Kama having the majority 8-5. While Aurora and Joe were open to sending Rick Devens back to the Edge of Extinction after he returned, the Kama Six had other plans. After the Day 19 Immunity Challenge, Aurora and Joe joined the Manu Alliance and decided to split their votes between David Wright and Rick. But at Tribal Council, Aurora was left in the dark when the Kama Six blindsided Joe for being a physical threat. After Joe was eliminated, as the lone Kama outsider and Joe's closest ally, Aurora lamented on the Kama's betrayal, but considered sticking with the Kama Six as long as they had power. However, Aurora was brought in by the Manu Alliance to target Kama Six leaders Eric Hafemann and Ron. Aurora won Individual Immunity on Day 22 and later found an extra vote in her bag sent by Aubry from the Edge of Extinction. At Tribal Council, Aurora flipped on Kama and joined the Manu Alliance plus Gavin Whitson, Julia Carter and Victoria Baamonde in blindsiding Eric.
However, Aurora's comments at the next Tribal Council caused her to get exacerbated to the bottom of the tribe and also caused Julia's blindside. Aurora soon became the main target of a new majority alliance led by Wardog DaSilva. But Aurora managed to temporary thwart their plan when she won Immunity on Day 25. At Tribal Council, Aurora joined the rest of the tribe minus Rick in voting out David. But she became the next target after losing the Day 27 Immunity Challenge to Rick, the majority's intended next target. While Aurora was set on being the next to go, Wardog came up with a plan to shake up the game by betraying his ally Kelley Wentworth for being the last returning player remaining. Before Tribal Council, Aurora gave her extra vote to Ron to try and secure his loyalty, but Ron ended up contemplating voting her out and keeping it for himself. At Tribal Council, Aurora was spared when she joined Wardog's plan in blindsiding Kelley. Ron later gave the extra vote back to Aurora. At this point, Aurora would end up becoming seen as an easy vote but was spared again when Wardog's betrayal backfired on him. After the Day 31 Immunity Challenge, the majority of the tribe planned to split their votes between Rick and Ron. Aurora then decided to give her extra vote to Gavin so that it would count if the vote were end up in a tie. At Tribal Council, Aurora giving Gavin the extra vote worked when he successfully used it to blindside Ron. Aurora soon became part of a Final Four deal with Gavin, Lauren O'Connell and Victoria in targeting Rick. However, Aurora once again became a target after Rick won Immunity on Day 34 as most of the tribe mainly Lauren felt they can beat Julie in the Final Tribal Council over Aurora. At Tribal Council, Rick revealed the rehidden Hidden Immunity Idol he found the morning after Ron's blindside and said he would play it for Julie in an attempt to get the others to flip. While Aurora stuck with the plan in voting Julie, the rest of the tribe fell for Rick's bluff and Aurora was voted out unanimously. She then took the torch and went to the Edge of Extinction.
Aurora competed in the second re-entry duel the next day. But she lost the challenge to Chris Underwood, eliminating her and nine others.
At Final Tribal Council, Aurora was the only Kama on the jury that voted Gavin to be the Sole Survivor, but he lost to Chris in a 9-4-0 vote.
