La modelo, actriz y presentadora es la primera concursante que se suma a la aventura más extrema de Telecinco. Una mujer que, sin duda, es un rostro icónico de la televisión, ya que, a principios de los 90, Arantxa del Sol fue una exitosa conductora de programas.
Además, es muy popular en el universo del corazón, ya que, junto a su marido, Finito de Córdoba, forma una de las parejas más sólidas del panorama nacional. Para ella, Supervivientes es un auténtico desafío: "Me encanta enfrentarme a nuevos retos".[2]

Some hours after her helicopter drop (as is traditional on Supervivientes), Arantxa told tribemates that her condition of fibre breakage in the gluteus could put her time on the show in jeopardy. She was nominated on the first night by tribe leader Mario González.
Arantxa received criticism from many viewers and by ex-contestants such as Kike Calleja for doing very little on the island.[3] She was exiled on Day 38, when she was saved by the public over Laura Matamoros, provoking surprise from many viewers and from remaining exiled contestant Kiko Jiménez.[4][5]
Arantxa nonetheless continued to attract controversy throughout her time on the show, especially her falling out with Ángel Cristo Jr., caused by the increasing apparent friendship between their spouses.[6] Viewers who had previously had no opinion on Arantxa quickly sided with Ángel, and Arantxa was voted out on Day 56.

Post-Supervivientes[]
If she was wanting to try to resurrect her career, Arantxa's time on the show was largely considered to have removed any possibility of that. She admitted on the Sunday night programme Conexión Honduras that she had crossed the line with her behaviour towards Ángel and apologised on the show. However, producers felt that she had crossed the point of no return, and Telecinco announced on 12 May that she would not be invited to any more Supervivientes galas, and the network agreed to cut ties with her.[7]
