Anjali Rao is a contestant from Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains.
Having forming a strong alliance with returning players Jackie Glazier and George Mladenov, Anjali set up her game well on the Villains tribe. However, after injuries at an Immunity Challenge caused Jackie and George to be absent from Tribal Council, Anjali was left vulnerable and targeted by her tribe for her closeness to George. Though the tribe was given the option to return to camp without voting anyone out, Anjali eagerly rallied her tribe to continue with the elimination. Ultimately, Anjali's misplaced sense of security led to her being unanimously voted out by her tribe.

Celebrated journalist and anchor for some of the world's biggest news companies such as CNN, Anjali has crossed paths with many Heroes and Villains in her line of work, and not only can recognise them but knows how to get what she needs from them.
As someone who is used to dealing with the unexpected, Anjali hopes these skills will help her with the twists and turns Survivor will throw at her. And as journalist, she has a natural instinct and interest in relationships that she's planning to build from day one. But while the social side might be a strength, Anjali thinks the challenges could change her outlook. She says, "I'm absolutely petrified about the physical side of this game and putting my body on the line - absolutely terrified! I think most people at home when they think of Survivor, they think of those sadistic challenges and I am no different."
With her humour and good nature, Anjali says being a Villain is not her usual way of describing of herself saying, "I don't think I ever would have said I'm a born Villain but after I did Real House Wives of Melbourne, it emerged that I was the Villain of the season and I loved it! I thought that's tremendous. I love being a Villain because they're the interesting and fun ones.
"I think the Heroes are going to be so far up their own arses just because they've got the word Hero there, but I can't think of anything more dull."[1]
Australian Survivor[]
Anjali started the game on the Villains tribe. On Day 1, George Mladenov aligned himself with Anjali and Jackie Glazier, as both reminded George of Cara Atchison, George's closest ally in his first season. The following day, during the first Immunity Challenge which the Villains lost, both George and Jackie were injured and taken to medical care, leaving Anjali with no allies heading into Tribal Council.
Before Tribal Council, the rest of the Villains tribe agreed to vote out Anjali in case Jackie did not return, with Anjali under the assumption the tribe was voting for Stevie Khouw. At Tribal Council, after the Villains cast their votes, Jonathan LaPaglia announced that Jackie had been evacuated from the game, and gave them the choice not to read their votes such that no one would be eliminated. At Anjali's encouragement, the Villains agreed for the votes to be read, which concluded with Anjali's blindside by a unanimous vote.
