André se décrit comme un vrai gars du Lac-Saint-Jean ! Initié à la chasse et à la pêche dès son jeune âge, ses souvenirs d'enfance ont tous la nature comme toile de fond. Il a fait une technique en foresterie et a vécu la vie de camp dans le Grand Nord: pas d'Internet, pas de téléphone et beaucoup de mouches ! D'ailleurs, les insectes, c'est sa passion ! Il a même déjà possédé une mygale et un centipède et planifie de bâtir un zoo dans un coin éloigné du camp ! « Plus ça pique, plus j'aime ça ! » Ancien contremaître sur des chantiers en forêt, il sait comment gérer les équipes, mais se doute qu'il devra doser son côté leader. Toujours en action, on ne risque pas de le voir se faire bronzer ! S'il le faut, il organisera un tournoi de pétanque pour détendre l'atmosphère, tout en gardant un oeil sur la « vraie game » !^[2]
