Amanda Coolley Van Cooll is the Sole Survivor of Survivor Philippines: Palau.

Amanda was not targeted early on in the game, thanks to a string of tribal immunity wins and a focus on eliminating bigger targets that saved her from being sent home. While she found herself with no allies at the late game of the merge, she was able to save herself because of her strength in individual immunity challenges and convincing Jef Gaitan to force a tie against Charles Fernandez, which allowed Amanda to win the tiebreaking fire-making challenge.

While the jury was mostly averse on all finalists, Amanda was able to get them to vote for her to win in a close vote of 4-3-0.

Amanda Coolley Van Cooll is a general labor construction worker in Alaska. That means she's done everything from driving trucks to mixing cement. "I love building things and working with my hands," Amanda said when asked why she chose a career in what is considered male territory. A construction worker by choice, Amanda said that she got bored working in a bank, doing the same things everyday. "In construction, there's no specific job description. The work is very physical and there's always something different and new in every project," Amanda said. Amanda grew up a probinsiyana and is accustomed to island life. She is confident that her experiences prepared her enough for the game. To prepare for Survivor Philippines: Palau, Amanda did a lot of research and a lot of eating, too.

Post-Survivor[]

Amanda returned to her normal life in Fairbanks, Alaska after Survivor. She used her winnings to open a resort in her Philippine hometown of Oriental Mindoro.
In 2015, Amanda gave birth to a child.
