The All-Black Alliance (also known as the Campout Alliance) is an alliance formed in Survivor 41. The alliance was birthed as a final-four pact forged between the black contestants that made it to the merge, motivated by a desire to represent their race.
Assisted by the former Luvu members, the All-Black Alliance was set to have a smooth path to the finale as they controlled the majority, but their luck changed at the final eight following a cannibalization of their leader, Shan Smith. Regardless, the last member standing, Deshawn Radden, made it to the Final Three and became the season's runner-up.

Summit[]
On Day 11, Yase placed first in the Immunity Challenge and selected Liana Wallace and Shan Smith to visit the Summit. There, the two women bonded over their shared experiences as black women in America, agreeing to work together if Shan made the merge following that night's Tribal Council. Shan ceded the opportunity at the advantage to Liana. As a result, Liana received the Knowledge Is Power advantage back at camp.
Knowledge Is Power[]
After surviving the Ua tribe's decimation, Liana and Shan both made it to the merge. The two women were part of the losing team at the first post-merge Immunity Challenge, prompting them to strategize. At camp, Shan divulged Liana's advantage to Tiffany Seely, prompting Liana to reveal the identity of the advantage to Tiffany.
When the winning team returned to camp, Liana and Shan connected with Danny McCray and Deshawn Radden, agreeing to a final four pact with the goal of representing the black community, which had experienced a politically tumultuous 2020. The four strategized, deciding to leverage Danny and Deshawn's pre-existing Luvu connections and Shan's relationship with Ricard Foyé to give the foursome a majority at the first post-merge Tribal Council.
However, the tides turned when Erika Casupanan returned from Exile Island with a twist: the losing team was now immune, and the winning team now had to compete in an individual Immunity Challenge for safety at Tribal Council. Ricard ended up winning, allowing the newly formed All-Black Alliance to target Liana's former ally Evvie Jagoda. The foursome conspired to use Liana's Knowledge Is Power advantage to seal Evvie's fate by stealing Xander Hastings' idol, but this was thwarted by the Yase Alliance's counterplay by virtue of the information Tiffany had gleaned from Shan. Ultimately, the foursome decided to coordinate a Split Vote which resulted in Sydney Segal's elimination.
Cracks[]
After Sydney's elimination, the All-Black Alliance and their affiliates consolidated their majority and relegated the Yase Alliance to the minority. However, cracks started to emerge when Deshawn and Shan failed to agree on a common target. Shan thought Deshawn sensitive, while Deshawn thought Shan patronizing. When Evvie won the following Immunity Challenge, Tiffany was put squarely in the alliance's crosshairs despite Shan's assertion that Heather was a bigger threat to the alliance. Tiffany was made the primary target, with a side plan hatched to convince Xander to waste his idol.
Another upset occurred at Tribal Council when Heather initiated a live Tribal Council, in the process exacerbating the friction within the ranks of the All-Black Alliance. Despite the tension, Tiffany was voted out as planned and Xander held onto his idol.
Double Elimination[]
On Day 17, Viakana was subject to a Double Elimination, with the tribe of ten being split into two teams of five. The All-Black Alliance held a 3-2 majority on the yellow team, while the blue team consisted of Shan and the alliance's four affiliates.
On the blue team, Erika won immunity, saving herself from certain elimination as the consensus target by the alliance for her threat level. Shan and her long-time ally Ricard debated between a predictable vote in Heather Aldret or a blindside with Naseer Muttalif, which would cause an idol to be flushed. Ultimately, Ricard and Shan worked with Erika and Heather to eliminate Naseer.
On the yellow team, Xander won immunity, opening up the possibility that he would play his idol to save Evvie. Xander and Evvie campaigned for their survival so he could save his idol by pleading a case to Danny and Deshawn against Liana, who they portrayed as Shan's right-hand woman. Deshawn successfully convinced Xander to hold on to his idol, resulting in Evvie being voted out as planned.
Dethronement[]
On Night 17, after both teams returned from Tribal Council, Shan revealed the nature of the Naseer blindside. This led Erika to persuade Deshawn to flip on his alliance to take out a big threat. Despite Shan's persistent paranoia and Deshawn entertaining the thought of blindsiding her, Deshawn and Shan decided to make amends following their previous tensions "for the culture".
Ricard won the Day 18 Reward Challenge and shared the reward with Heather, Shan, and Xander. This left Danny, Deshawn, and Liana back at camp with Erika. The three alliance members weighed their options and considered removing Ricard so as to seal Shan's allegiance with the final four pact. Liana, emotionally overcome, divulged the plan to Shan, who then relayed the plan to Ricard despite acknowledging that they would eventually have to turn on each other. Ricard and Shan then decided to flip the vote on Deshawn for his duplicity.
Motivated by the plan to eliminate him, Ricard won the Day 19 Immunity Challenge. Shan, realizing that there was no longer a threat that Ricard would be voted out, decided to play it safe and default to an "easy" Erika vote. However, Ricard decided it was time to take out Shan as her threat level had gotten too high. Ricard leveraged Shan's loose lips, convincing Danny and Deshawn to join his plan. In the end, the entire Viakana tribe participated in a split vote against Liana and Shan, and Shan was blindsided, leaving with her idol.
Implosion[]
Following the brutal blindside, Liana erupted at camp, questioning Danny and Deshawn's gameplay. The All-Black Alliance was down to three, with a solid counter-faction of four, made up of Erika, Heather, Ricard, and Xander, having risen against them. The trio calmed down and regrouped the following day with a plan to take out Ricard, who was now the biggest threat for orchestrating Shan's blindside.
At the Immunity Challenge, Deshawn became the victim of the "Do or Die" twist while Danny won the challenge. At Tribal Council, the three remaining members discussed race as their primary motivation for keeping the alliance alive. Deshawn survived the "Do or Die" twist, earning immunity in the process. Left as the only vulnerable member of the now minority alliance, Liana was taken out in a 5-3 vote.
Truth Kamikaze[]
Danny and Deshawn returned to camp squarely on the bottom, as they questioned the rest of the tribe's motives in keeping Ricard. However, the rest of Viakana were in agreement that Ricard was still the biggest threat, and the final six was the right time to take him out.
After winning the Reward Challenge with Erika and Xander, Deshawn managed to create a final three pact with his co-winners. In the meantime, Danny hunted for an idol, further increasing his threat status on the tribe as Heather and Ricard's suspicions against him heightened.
At the Immunity Challenge, Ricard pulled off an upset by winning, setting Danny and Deshawn back on the chopping block. Deshawn tried to convince Erika to throw Heather under the bus, while Danny continued his ruse of having an idol. The rest of the tribe weighed the odds between eliminating either player: Danny for potentially having an idol, Deshawn for being a possible means to prevent Ricard from winning the next Immunity Challenge.
At Tribal Council, Deshawn voiced his perception that Danny and himself were on the bottom and threw Erika under the bus for scheming against Heather. In the end, the Viakana tribe split the votes, with Danny and Deshawn voting for each other. Ultimately, Danny was voted out in the revote, leaving Deshawn as the final surviving member of the alliance and officially marking the alliance's demise.
Final Stretch[]
Deshawn went on to survive the final five vote as Ricard was taken out for his threat status. At the final four, Deshawn was chosen by Xander to participate in the firemaking challenge, which he won in a close fight against Heather to clinch a spot in the Final Three.
At the Final Tribal Council, Shan interrogated Deshawn on whether he had the right intentions in joining the All-Black Alliance, to which Deshawn affirmed that he never intended to use the alliance as a disposable strategy, but rather out of a genuine desire to see the Black contestants succeed. Regardless, the jury, including Liana and Shan, did not respect Deshawn's gameplay, which they criticized as temperamental. Although Deshawn received his long-time ally Danny's vote, he would go on to lose to Erika in a 7-1-0 vote.
