Alejandro Augusto "Alex" Angarita Meneses[1] is a contestant from Survivor: Fiji.
Alex was the founder of the Four Horsemen alliance, which was ultimately crushed, as former alliance member Dreamz Herd betrayed the alliance, leading to the remaining members being picked off the island one by one.

Born in Colombia, South America, Alex Angarita moved to California where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine. He then moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he received his Juris Doctor Degree from Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, he was also a member of the Harvard Boxing Club.
Angarita is currently practicing law on a freelance basis and working to start his own educational consulting company. Prior to his participation on Survivor: Fiji, Angarita worked as an attorney for one of the largest law firms in Los Angeles, where he represented large companies in various transactions. He previously worked as an operations director for a test preparation company and also as a tutor.
He enjoys boxing, running, basketball, weight-lifting, painting and yoga. He recently spent a week climbing Mt. Whitney. He describes himself as assertive, witty and personable. He is a member of the American Bar Association.
Angarita currently resides in Los Angeles, California. His birth date is April 20, 1978.[2]
Survivor[]
Alex started on the Moto tribe; fueled by their luxurious living conditions, his tribe dominated in challenges. He was originally in a majority alliance with Boo Bernis, Edgardo Rivera, Lisi Linares, and Stacy Kimball, but was irked by his allies aggressively isolating Dreamz and Cassandra. The only time Moto went to Tribal Council, Alex joined the majority in voting out Liliana Gomez.
On Day 15, Alex, Edgardo, and Dreamz Herd were switched to Ravu. With Lisi on Exile Island and Boo and Stacy on Moto, Alex had to find new allies. On Ravu, Alex formed the Four Horsemen alliance with Dreamz, Edgardo and original Ravu member Mookie Lee. This alliance was able to pick apart the remnants of original Ravu sending Anthony and Rocky out in successive Tribal Councils. He along with Edgardo and Mookie searched for the Hidden Immunity Idol which Mookie found. They kept the idol secret from Dreamz and Lisi. Since Mookie sacrificed his ally Rocky to prove his loyalty to the alliance, Alex returned the favor by voting out Lisi.
Alex made it to the merge. A twist gifted Alex a favorable Tribal Council with Mookie, Stacy, and Dreamz, making it an easily decision for him to vote out Michelle. However, his alliance was still down 5 to 4 after Stacy left it. He planned to use Mookie's idol to their advantage. Alex's alliance planned to target Earl Cole because they believed he had the idol. Alex his alliance but she sided with Earl's alliance. Mookie told Dreamz that they found the idol at Ravu, which caused Dreamz to waver because they kept it a secret from him. Alex and Edgardo were upset at Mookie for potentially causing Dreamz to leave the alliance and leave them even more vulnerable. Feeling threatened, Alex asked Mookie to discreetly give him the Idol for protection at Tribal Council. Edgardo later suggested to the Four Horsemen that they vote off Cassandra Franklin instead, as she was a strong middle player in the game, and Alex and the others agreed. Mookie gave Alex the idol. He played the idol at Tribal Council, but received no votes and Edgardo was surprisingly blindsided.
After Tribal Council, Alex and Mookie confronted Dreamz for flipping, but he lied in order to cover his bases. The next day, Alex and Mookie figured that Yau-Man had the other Idol from the Moto camp and confirmed this when they searched through his personal belongings. They plotted to confront Yau-Man about the idol at Tribal Council to either get him to lie about having the idol or stir up trouble by casting doubt among his alliance. However, Cassandra and Stacy were nearby, attempting to eavesdrop on the conversation. Alex and Mookie noticed Cassandra and Stacy spying on them, so then they decided to confront Yau-Man immediately. They attempted to blackmail Yau-Man into telling his alliance about the Hidden Immunity Idol or they would tell them, but their plan failed. At Tribal Council, Earl's alliance split their votes between Alex and Mookie, and Alex in a last ditch effort to save himself voted for Mookie, so Mookie was eliminated, leaving Alex as the sole outsider. After the Reward Challenge, Alex noticed the others complained about Boo Bernis, so then he convinced Dreamz to target him next. However, Boo won immunity. At camp, Alex campaigned for Yau-Man's elimination, but at Tribal Council, Alex was unanimously voted out.
At the Final Tribal Council, Alex criticized Dreamz and Cassandra. He first accused Cassandra of using Stacy, and tossing her aside when she did not need her. When Cassandra tried to defend herself by saying that was not true, he told her to stop talking. He then chastised Dreamz of lying, cheating and backstabbing. He voted for Earl to win which he did in a unanimous 9-0-0 vote.

- On February 9, 2007, Alex was arrested for marijuana possession.[3]
- On January 9, 2010, Alex attended Survivor's 10-year anniversary party.
- On June 10, 2014, Alex attended the wedding of Rita Verreos.
