Natalie was in my draft at first. Boy, did I dodge a bullet there.
PS I didn’t think I’d be loving Ben as much as I am right now.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THE PREMIERE!
It's a goldmine of great moments:
Sandra getting away laughing at Kim's situation
Kim feeling vulnerable for once
Adam being Denise's new Malcolm <3
Denise finally winning her first tribal immunity
Rob and Parvati feeling "punk'd" for not being targeted (how the fuck they did not receive a vote??!!!)
Yul weaponizing pre-game alliances against the people who made them
Danni coming clean to Rob after getting caught targeting him
Sophie looking genuinely happy when Yul invited her in an alliance
Ethan being his congenial, team-player self while keeping up with the now lightning-fast pace of the game
Tony finally not being impulsive; not looking for idols the second they hit the beach
Tony and Sandra making amends
Sandra being salty about Rob lying to her about not coming back and took it on Amber (HELL HATH NO FURY TO KWEEN SCORNED)
Amber becoming a sitting duck for failing to keep up the pace
I'm fine with Natalie going, but why didn't Tony vote for Tyson like he said he would?
I wasn't a fan. There was fun moments but I do not want to hear how (Insert player here) is keeping a low profile for the 6th time. Oh and fire tokens are awful
An awesome premiere! So much nostalgia, great to see Ethan, Danny and Yul again! Go old school!
Boston Rob is still a challenge beast after all those years and kids and that beer belly.
Almighty Kim Spradlin not looking so almighty and scary all of a sudden. Kim's stock went down, while Tony's went up.
Please, Tyson, be a "good guy to have around" again! There was a pretty good start with his request to thank him for his divine rice. Give us more of that, I know you can.
Unsurprisingly, Amber gets voted out early. Unsurprisingly, she bequeaths her fire token to Boston Rob. I don't think anyone fell off their chairs, right?
The queen stays queen! PAY ATTENTION, TONY!
Did they fix Edge of Extinction? I sure hope they did, because we don't need another season 38 and a winner like Chris.
Kids who were born when Amber last played are now driving. Cars. Thanks, Jeff, for making it clear what these kids are driving.
I'm a little worried about Sandra being offended at Boston Rob, and also claiming that winning is more important than making friends. I don't want season 8 to happen again.
The fire tokens in the eyes of the immunity idol are a nice touch. I was hoping there would a twist that you could actually take them out and use them as fire tokens, like it was with certain "hidden" immunity idols in past seasons (China, Philippines), but it doesn't seem like it.
Michele wants to silence the Aubry fans, and I hope she succeeds. So far, however, it did not look good for her, but maybe this could turn out to be good for her.
Never did we have a season in which everyone was afraid of everyone.
It seems like the theme of the season (at least for the pre-merge phase) is going to be "my relationship?! What about their relationship?! This is what you should be worried about!"
The player of the week is Yul. An amazing start for the Cook Islands winner! Wish him all best in the next episodes!
Poor Amber :(
It's tough for Amber because she was almost always going to be voted out at some point this season because of Rob regardless of how many inroads she made. Granted she didn't appear to make too many of them.
I have a pressing concern about Fire Tokens (I kind of like Fire Tokens given the impression it gives off so far), but what happens if Fire Tokens were not used to purchase advantage (i.e. used by an entire tribe to purchase comfort items and food)? Since the money is not paid to the EOE players, will the paid Fire Tokens return into circulation? How?
Are you able to pool tokens or is it an individual thing?
Both.
Each tribe was given a menu of items to choose from if they choose to pay Fire Tokens for the benefit of the whole tribe. Purchasing advantages would be done individually and in secret.
About the "eyes" of the tribal idol: They just looked like Fire Tokens but they are of no value, therefore can't be played.
What do you think?
