Fuck.
I'm rooting for Kellee now.
Fuck.
I'm rooting for Kellee now.
Kellee is the MVP of my fantasy team saving another one of my drafts, Dean.
I can't believe that BOTH Janet and Elaine made the merge. I remember when everyone thought they would be first boots of their tribes!
Noura made the merge. For sure not what I was anticipating but I am here for it!
That really pissed me off. Two of my drafts teamed up to take out my strongest draft. NOOOOOOOO
When Jamal gave Noura the idol I laughed so hard cuz I thought Jamal was going home but NOPE
Someone on reddit said Jamal lucked out because had he been voted out, it would be him being used as a cautionary tale for the next 20 seasons instead of Erik Reichenbach. I have to agree. More praise for Janet and Kellee as well, and looks like Noura and Dean got a W too even as secondary players.
Rewatched the episode and I'm kicking myself for missing it the first time, but Janet flashing everybody was the greatest moment of the episode which makes me love her even more! :D
And forgot to mention, but it was a very nice tribute to Rudy with the quote "A Survivor icon, an American hero".
Kellee (Up Two)- That move was great
Lauren (Down One)
Tommy (Up Three)- His personality has come out more
Noura (Down Two)
Elaine (Down One)
Elizabeth (Down One)
Missy
Janet (Up Three)- The focus on her brings her up
Dean
Aaron (Up Three)
Jamal (Up Four)- His edit is a rollercoaster-Bad, Good , Bad, Good. He was talking about how he wanted Noura out, so why did he play his idol on her?!
Dan (Down Two)
Karishma (Up One)
There's a big world out there beyond our own personal space and I love that Jamal, who had experienced social biases himself, is also learning there are more biases that he could not have imagined of existing. There is beauty to human interaction regardless of gender, socioeconomic status, educational background, or race. I don't get why women alliances were such a big thing.
This season is sure putting the "politics" in "social politics" and I'm loving it.
Jamal needs to learn how to work with a team. He still thinks he is all that, and that others (Kellee) cannot help out at camp.
Noura also had a huge portion at breakfast. She is still crazy. But her and Karishma are good to keep around strategically.
I'm rooting for Janet now! I loved her Island of the Idols visit. I am glad someone saw a positive in turning down an opportunity from Sandra and Boston Rob. Not all paths are the right ones.
Now that Lauren, Dan, and Tommy are outnumbered, it is interesting to see them scrambling to stay high and dry. It's too bad that they are terrible at it. They have been on the winning side the whole game. Now, everything has changed. Also, the argument that Aaron was in danger is completely delusional. Aaron knows he is safe, at least until the Merge.
The Immunity Challenge was very tense. Jack was an MVP for Lairo. Jamal and Karishma still are at odds with each other, which will be interesting for the Merge.
Jack and Jamal are very good actors. I also love how Kellee thinks of the master plan during her little interview thingy. Janet got the lesson in calculated risk, but it was Kellee who really showed it in this episode.
"Let the show begin." First of all, Noura should shut her mouth. Just shut it. You're crazy. Also, the Joker laugh is probably the cause of my migraines. Secondly, she basically said she hated Jamal. She just revealed that she can't stand the alliance she finds herself in. Very dangerous for her.
This group of people thrown together on an island are forced to build a community and a culture. They base this on the experiences they themselves have had in their lives. I whole-heartedly agree with what Janet said. This season of Survivor is a window into the current society and culture that we live in. What a great episode, and a fantastic idol play! Jamal should have went for his buddy alliance though. Then we would have had a null vote, and that would have been cool to see.
11/10 episode! Can't wait for next week!
So I talked to one member of the IOI cast who chose to remain anonymous (we conversed on Twitter), and (s)he did say Vokai won the unaired reward challenge which was for pizza.
Oh yeah! I was wondering about that.
What do you think?
