This site css is really bad, it is so difficult to read text when it appears over the background logo.
What’s on your mind about survivor? Got any crazy stories? How long have you been watching? Let’s have a discussion

Chris may have destroyed a lot of hopes and dreams among our participants, this last set of bonus questions really made the difference.
See you next season for (cringe) Island of the Idols!
Hey, I actually am done computing our scores...just that I just wanted to be sure because it would be too damn awkward if I post it now yet something's wrong with the final placements.
You'll know what I mean if you look at the spreadsheet now.
The Edge of Extinction concept ended up ruining the season. You had a group of people who just sat there for the whole season, with nothing to do but wait. So there was very little coverage of that group - there was zero story there! Booooring snoozefest. There were no regular interviews with the EoE people, no watching them struggle to eat, stay warm - nothing consistent in the story line.
100% of the story broadcast was the *regular* camp life, challenges, strategizing, and backstabbing that everyone knows and loves so much. Week to week, THOSE are the players that the audience got to know, love (or love to hate!), and cheer for or against.
Chris, who was a virtual stranger to the audience by the time the finale aired, comes in and steals the show. Did he do well? Sure. He made a brilliant move building fire against Devens, and came in from behind, and good for him. But who the hell even remembered who he was??? There was maybe one time he was interviewed on EoE, and by the time he got back he was long forgotten. The re-entry of Chris was extremely disruptive to the story line - the ONLY story that was consistently covered was regular survivor, with barely a nod to the EoE people.
I love Survivor, and will watch it for as long as it's on the air. I think the producers need to be more careful when trying to switch things up - the baseline concept is great as is. I'm wondering if they were trying to save money by eliminating the need to take care of the contestants at ponderosa.
Tbh, I’m really excited about Sandra and Boston Rob coming back, but who will be the one that doesn’t listen?
What about tribal council??!!!
So are we gonna pretend this didn't happen....
Now that this season of Survivor has concluded, I want to address one thing that has been bothering me. What has been bothering me is the constant hate that Rick Devens got throughout the course of the season. Almost everytime I see posts on this website, I constantly see people complaining about him. The truth is, he was, without a doubt, the best player of the season in my eyes. Today, I will be addressing all the reasons why Devens is so hated, and explain why you shouldn’t hate him for these reasons.
Now, I always see that whenever Rick found an idol, people are claiming that it is rigged and production gave him the idols. Before I talk about Rick, let me just say that whoever claims that production rigged the game for him, stop watching the show. By saying that production rigged it for him, you are disgracing the show itself. If you truly think that the show tried to rig it in his favor, you aren’t a true fan of the show, because you are insulting the show itself. Now, about Devens and the idols. People say that he relied too much on idols and that is why he wasn’t a good player. To counter that argument, Devens had to find the idols as much as he did because there was no way anybody was going to work with him. People told him straight up that they didn’t want him there and were going to vote him out. What is he supposed to do, just lie down and die? NO! That is why he found so many idols, because no matter how hard he tried, people were just focused on getting out Devens, so he had to find the idols in order to stay alive. Also, the idols weren’t just handed to him. He said it himself in an Entertainment Weekly article that he was out there for hours searching for the idols. This is one of the reasons why I think Devens was the best player, because he worked harder and hustled more than anybody else in the game. If you want to blame someone for Rick finding the idols, blame the other castaways. They allowed Devens to find the idols because they didn’t put in the amount of time and hard work that he put in to find the idols. Devens even talked about this in the jury questioning. He asked Gavin and Julie why they didn’t work as hard as him to find the idols. So to me, Devens deserves praise for working as hard as he did for finding the idols, not hate for being able to find them. If you want to hate people, hate the others for allowing it to happen.
The main reason why I believe Devens is hated so much is because of how much edit he received throughout the show. The reason he received such a large edit is pretty simple, but also very harsh. The truth is, he got such a big edit because he was one of the only people who were actually making moves. It is harsh, but it is true. The only people who were really making moves were Wardog, Ron, and Devens, so when the others were voted out, Devens got the rest of their screentime, because he was one of the only people playing. That is the cold-hearted truth Now, people are going to scream at me, “What about Victoria and Lauren”? The truth is, they didn’t really do that much during the season. Lauren was the least important person in the Lesu three, behind Wardog and Kelley respectively. The only real time she got an edit was when she found the idol, and after saving onto it for the entire season, she just wastes it. Lauren never really served as a major character this season. Now, about Victoria. What I think happened is that everyone was fooled by the Aubry vote out episode. People interpreted that as Victoria’s move, but I will continue saying this, it was more of an Aubry failure to understand the situation than Victoria making a move. Remember, the entire premerge of the Kama tribe was about Aubry and her struggle on the bottom. It was all Aubry, Aubry, Aubry. So, the storyline just suddenly switches from Aubry to Victoria, when the entire Kama premerge was all about Aubry? That doesn’t make any sense. Also, keep in mind that it wasn’t Victoria’s idea to vote Aubry out. It was a group decision based off the Kama alliance to vote out the returning players. Who lead the Kama alliance? Ron and Eric, so technically, they were the ones in charge of getting Aubry out, because they were so gung ho on voting out the returning players. Because of this episode, I think people were mislead to believe that Victoria was going to be a major character, when in reality, she didn’t serve a major purpose in the storyline. Her only real move was getting out Ron, and the main edit of that episode was about the downfall of Ron, not Victoria emerging as a threat. Now, this all ties back to Devens because it explains why he got such a big edit. The reason was because the other players weren’t all that great. That is part of the reason why Chris won in the first place. Chris won because he made more moves in 3 days than Gavin and Julie in 39 days. That serves as the reason why Devens was so heavily featured. The other people just weren’t doing much throughout the game. They all just jumped on the “vote Devens out” bandwagon, and were left to find a backup plan every time because Devens was able to outplay them.
Being Voted Out:
Now, some people, (mainly TribalChants), is saying that Devens didn’t play well because he was voted out, and therefore, doesn’t deserve to win. The counter to this argument is simple. Quality over quantity. Yes, Devens was voted out and didn’t play his whole Survivor experience on the island. However, just because you lasted 39 days doesn’t mean you played well. That is why Chris won, because he did better in 3 days than Gavin and Julie did in 39 days. Playing the whole 39 days is not everything in Survivor. It isn’t about how much time you have, it is about what you do with the time you are given. Julia even talked about this during the jury questioning, saying that even if you have lasted the whole 39 days, if you didn’t do that much during that span, then you don’t really deserve to win. That is why goats are goats. They may have spent the whole time on the island, but they didn’t do anything, therefore they can’t win and are goats (or passengers, if you prefer that). This is why being voted out isn’t that big of an argument against Devens, because while he did get voted out, when he came back, he played a great game, better than the other players who weren’t voted out. This is why he was such a threat to win, because he played a great game. Also, keep in mind that didn’t spend a lot of time on the Edge of Extinction. He still played the entire merge, which is what really matters in Survivor. So to me, Devens being voted out can’t really be held that much against him, because when he did come back, he played a better game than everyone else. (Also he didn’t spend as much time as Chris spent on the Edge, which is why Chris is a controversial winner, but that is another story).
So this is why I think Devens was by far the best player on this past season. Feel free to comment down below what you think. Also, remember this is all my opinion. I look forward to seeing what you think.
...what the hell just happened tonight.
Hated the new concept. --- If something works perfectly why ruin it. --- All the votes for Chris were from the people on the Edge of Extinction. The votes for Gavin were from the people who actually played the game. Chris NEVER should have come back when he did. HATED IT,
Am I allowed to ask a question relating to the finale, that spoiled who won? (and lost)
I already blocked two people for trying to get around the spoiler policy. Just a reminder: There is a "NO SPOILERS" banner on the main page which links you to the full details of the spoiler policy, so there's no way you'll not be able to see it.
I don't fucking care what excuse you have, but anyone who will be caught posting even subliminally implying any information about S39 and S40 in any part of the wiki (may it be in article pages, forum posts, blogs, even in your userspaces) will receive an instant INFINITE block. No explanations. No excuses. No compromise.
Fucking try me. I DARE YOU.

Hey, Ian here.
I sincerely apologize for miscalculating the fantasy league scores all along. I was trying to consolidate and streamline the tables when I realized that there was a coding mistake that carried over the weeks. In fact, Novamax243 was never in the lead but MarcLuis1234. While I am 100% sure about your draft and bonus scores being untouched, there was a coding mistake that had something to do with combining your draft and bonus points.
To make amends, I will disregard the bonus question "Will Novamax243 stay in the lead" which was asked for the past two weeks (since it was never the case).
HERE ARE THE CORRECTED STANDINGS:
1st: MarcLuis1234 (552 points)
2nd: Novamax243 (547)
3rd: IAmNothing712 (543)
4th: BSBrent (518)
5th: CrimsonRedGhoul (484)
6th: RedDragon1024 (481)
7th: Vbranscome (480)
8th: Princepretty (479)
9th: Ilya1997ika (470)
10th: MRace2010 (450)
Again, I'm so sorry. If there are still discrepancies in your scores, please let me know.
Well, the EOE finale is coming soon, and we all have different hopes for it. But let’s look at the history of Survivor finales. What do you guys think were the best finales and worst finales in Survivor?
If you ask me, my favorite finale was "The Most Deserving" (S2). I love the idea of the last few days being moments of reflection for how far you’ve come, and what’s to come if you end up in the finale. I especially loved Keith in this episode for how humble he was in handling his chance of winning. "Flames and Endurance" (S7) and "The Final Four: No Regrets" (S3) are a close second and third.
The worst finale? "Million Dollar Night" (S35). Ben gets his third idol, shocker. Just when you think it’s over for him an out-of-the-blue firemaking tiebreaker pretty much gives him an automatic spot in the final three. Then Ben wins because he was an underdog and everyone loves underdogs. Such a disappointing end to a season that had so much promise going into it. "Seems Like a No-Brainer" (S22) and "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished" (S34) were also pretty bad.
Rick could go down as the most unexpected challenge beast ever.
That being said Im still uneasy about the though of him winning.
